Connect 5 on 7×7 or 9×9, 4 on 5×5, or 3 on 3×3. X starts and players alternate. A full board without a winner is a draw. Changing boards starts a new game.
Beginner strategy
On large boards, build threats in two directions. Block immediate wins first and create lines open at both ends. Classic 3×3 no-loss strategies do not transfer directly.
Solo, shared-device and online play
Gomoku, Go, chess, janggi, Othello and tic-tac-toe offer computer opponents, two-player play on one device, invitation-link online play and random matchmaking. Random matchmaking waits for another person; an immediate match is not guaranteed. Party games differ in player counts, controls and online support.
Saving and deletion
Recent games, regular 2048 and Minesweeper progress and best records stay in this browser without automatic expiry. Daily records retain the last 30 days. Gomoku saves the latest unfinished game for up to 30 days and clears it when finished or restarted. Reversi and tic-tac-toe progress is lost when closing or refreshing. Records do not transfer automatically between devices or domains.
